Role overview
Purpose
Our client is looking for a procurement specialist to render procurement support to the organisation and execute Supply Chain Management functions to assist the organisation in achieving its goals and objectives, as directed by the Manager: Supply Chain Management. The candidate will be working in the finance divison and reporting to the supply chain manager.
Minimum requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree/BTech (Logistics/Supply Chain Management) or Equivalent
- 6 years + experience in Supply Chain Management and Governance & Compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft and advanced Excel & knowledge working on SAP / Pastel / SAGE
- Knowledge of procedures for purchasing and invoicing supplies and equipment
- Knowledge of formal bid procedure

Skills and Knowledge
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National Treasury’s supply chain management guidelines
- Treasury Regulations.
- Instructions Notes and Supply Chain Management Practice Notes, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA),
- Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Act and the Code of Good Practices.
- Understanding and Knowledge of the Supply Chain Management cycle which includes demand, acquisition, logistics, disposal, and supplier relationship management
